The Chicago Slice was formed in 2023 by Ron Saslow’s firm Thirty-5 Capital, with notable co-owners Tom Ricketts (Executive Chairman and Owner of the Chicago Cubs), Heidi Klum (Television Host and Supermodel), Doug Ellin (Writer and Producer of Entourage), Chris Evert (Former #1 ranked tennis player in the world, Hall of Famer and ESPN Analyst) and many more big names.

Ron Saslow is also the Founder and CEO of ProXR Pickleball, the official paddle sponsor of Major League Pickleball since the inaugural event in 2021. Ron and his team are deeply involved in the pickleball space and continue to invest in the growth of the sport with plans to continue to expand in all areas of pickleball. Thirty-5 Capital has been a huge supporter of MLP since day 1.

Ron and much of the Slice ownership team have deep roots in Chicago and know first-hand how passionate Chicago sports fans are about their teams, making Chicago the obvious choice for where to locate the team.
