Major League Pickleball (MLP by Margaritaville), the Carvana Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour), and USA Pickleball today announced a new collaboration and partnership to implement "best in class" equipment compliance testing standards, with the first full joint testing taking place at MLP's Daytona Beach event, March 23-26.
The Challenger Shuffle Draft for Daytona has begun! We will post trades, waiver placements, and pickups as they come in throughout the week. Here are the available athletes. Our group of ladies is listed first, sorted by highest DUPR Doubles first. The men's list appears below the ladies list. With just five days left until MLP Mesa from January 26th - 29th, we’re excited to share our schedule for the full four-day event. Given the expansion to twenty-four teams, we’ve got you covered with a summary of the new gameplay format followed by a breakout of both Challenger and Premier Level schedules. MLP DAYTONA is our second event of the 2023 season that levels up the stakes by introducing two levels of play with our Premier and Challenger Levels.
Premier Level is home to the top 48 players drafted while Challenger Level boasts the next crop of 48 draftees looking to make their ascension to the top of the league.
Each level consisting of 12 teams respectively (for a total of 24 teams) will make their way to this four-day event in a winner take all battle for the trophy. Two levels of competition mean double the matches, double the contenders, double the champions, and the largest prize money in all of professional pickleball!
