The New Jersey 5s were formed in 2022 by Gary Vaynerchuk and Ryan Harwood.  Gary V grew up in NJ and has always been public with his lifelong dream to own a sports franchise (NY Jets).  Ryan Harwood was a former Division 1 College Tennis Player and took a quick liking to Pickleball.  As business partners, they were both inspired by MLP’s vision to build the dominant Pickleball League of the future and were thrilled to own a sports franchise in the fastest growing sport in the US.
