The Austin Pickleballers team was born in 2023 out of a merger between two founding Major League Pickleball teams, the ATX Pickleballers and Team Chimeras. With both teams having deep roots throughout Texas, we decided to unite in our collective passion for all things pickleball, good music, and tacos. The owner group is made up of six folks: MLP co-founder and Austin entrepreneur, Mellie Price, Austin City Limits Festival and C3 Presents co-founders, Charles Attal and Charlie Walker, as well as Charles Kiley, Steve Alley, and New York Times #1 Bestselling author, researcher, storyteller, and podcast host, Brené Brown.
