UPDATE 9:00 AM EST. Exciting news, pickleball fans! Major League Pickleball is thrilled to kick off MLP 2023 Season 2 Draft live from CityPickle in Central Park, NYC, starting now. Stay tuned for the first draft pick of the Premier League, as we unveil the player chosen by the Chicago Slice.
Update 9:05 AM EST. 🚨Alert! 🚨 The moment we’ve all been waiting for! The highly anticipated #1 draft pick for the MLP Season 2 Premiere Level is none other than the legendary Ben Johns, reigning world #1 ranked player! 🏆✨Ben Johns will be joining the Chicago Slice! 🍕⚔️
Update 9:07 AM EST. 📢 Update🎉 The 2nd Premier Level draft pick has been claimed by the Utah Black Diamonds, and they’ve chosen the undisputed #1 ranked female player and pickleball prodigy, Anna Leigh Waters.
Update 9:09 EST. Trade News. The Orlando Squeeze made a trade with the D.C. Pickleball Team, who are on the clock for the #3 pick.
Update 9:16 AM EST. Exciting news! The D.C. Pickleball Team has made their selection, and they’ve chosen none other than Riley Newman to join their team.
Update 9:19 AM EST. It’s official! The #4 Draft pick for the Premier Level has been announced, and the Brooklyn Aces have chosen Catherine Parenteau.
Update 9:22 AM EST. The #5 Premier Level Pick has just been revealed, and it’s none other than the fiery Anna Bright, who will be joining the Orlando Squeeze.
Update 9:27 AM EST. The #6 Premier Level Draft Pick is J.W. Johnson, who has joined Columbus Pickleball Club.
Update 9:28 AM EST. AZ Drive has selected Julian Arnold for the #7 premier level pick.
Update 9:33 AM EST. The #8 overall draft pick for the Premier Level is Dylan Frazier, who will be joining the Texas Ranchers.
Update 9:36 AM EST. Exciting news for the Dallas Pickleball Club, who have selected James Ignatowich to lead their team. This makes James the #9 overall draft pick for Premier Level.
Update 9:39 AM EST. The #10 pick is none other than the talented Parris Todd who has joined the Atlanta Bouncers. We are excited to see what she will bringing to MLP Season 2.
Update 9:41 AM EST. The Bay Area Breakers have just secured an amazing addition to their team! Female powerhouse Lea Jansen has been chosen as the #11 pick!
Update 9:44 AM EST. The first round concludes with the 12th and final pick. The Miami Pickleball Club has chosen the remarkable talent of Federico Staksrud!
Update 9:52 AM EST. The snake style draft shakes things up! The Miami Pickleball Club has the first pick of the second round. Introducing the 13th pick of the MLP 2023 Season 2 draft: Tyson McGuffin!
Update 9:55 AM EST. The Bay Area Breakers are back on the clock with the second pick of the second round! They’ve made their decision, and they’ve chosen the remarkable talent of Etta Wright to join forces with Lea Jansen on their team. This makes Etta the 14th pick.
Update 9:58 AM EST. Exciting developments at the 15th pick! With some influential input from Parris Todd, the Atlanta Bouncers make their move by selecting none other than Simone Jardim, Parris’ APP Tour women’s doubles partner.
Update 10:00 AM EST. The Dallas Pickleball Club have selected Callie Jo Smith to join James Ignatowich for #16.
Update 10:02 AM EST. The Texas Ranchers have selected Jorja Johnson for the 17th pick in the premier level draft.
Update 10:04 AM EST. The 18th draft pick is Vivienne David who will be joining the AZ Drive.
Update 10:05 AM EST. Women have been the priority selection in this draft and Meghan Dizon has joined J.W. Johnson on the Columbus Pickleball Club.
Update 10:06 AM EST. Andrei Daescu will be joining Anna Bright on the Orlando Squeeze.
Update 10:08 AM EST. Brooklyn Aces have selected Andrea Koop as their second player pick. She will be playing alongside Catherine Parenteau.
Update 10:10 AM EST. D.C. Pickleball Team has selected Jackie Kawamoto to join Riley Newman for the 22nd pick.
Update 10:12 AM EST. The Utah Black Diamonds are hoping that Irina Tereschenko’s finals record brings good fortune to their team in Season 2, as she is their second pick to play alongside Anna Leigh Waters.
Update 10:14 AM EST. For the final second round pick, the Chicago Slice have selected Jessie Irvine as the 24th pick.
Update 10:21 AM EST. The Chicago Slice have selected Lacy Schneemann as the first third round pick and overall 25th pick in premier level draft.
Update 10:22 AM EST. The Utah Black Diamonds have selected Thomas Wilson as their third pick.
Update 10:24 AM EST. We have a TRADE! Atlanta acquires picks 27 and 46 from Orlando, in exchange for picks 34 and 39
Update 10:25 AM EST. The third pick of the third round goes to Pablo Tellez, who will be joining the Atlanta Bouncers.
Update 10:26 AM EST. The Brooklyn Aces have added Hayden Patriquin.
Update 10:28 AM EST. Jade Kawamoto joins her sister once again, but this time on the D.C. Pickleball Team.
Update 10:30 AM EST. Maggie Brascia joins Columbus Pickleball Club for their third selection.
Update 10:34 AM EST. Dekel Bar will once again join Vivienne David, but this time on the AZ Drive, as he is the 31st pick for the premier level draft.
Update 10:35 AM EST. The 32nd draft pick is Lauren Stratman, who will be joining the Texas Ranchers.
Update 10:37 AM EST. Dallas Pickleball Club has selected Allyce Jones for their third pick.
Update 10:38 AM EST. For their third round pick, the Orlando Squeeze has selected Zane Navratil as the overall 34th pick.
Update 10:40 AM EST. The 35th pick is Rafa Hewett, who will be joining the Bay Area Breakers.
Update 10:42 AM EST. The Miami Pickleball Club has selected Hurricane Tyra Black. Hurricane Tyra Black is the last pick of the third round.
Update 10:45 AM EST. The Miami Pickleball Club has completed their team with Mary Brascia.
Update 10:51 AM EST. The Bay Area Breakers have finished their team with Connor Garnett.
Update 10:54 AM EST. The Orlando Squeeze have concluded their team with Rachel Rohrabacher.
Update 10:56 AM EST. The Jay Devilliers completes the Dallas Pickleball Club.
